On Monday 8 March, my mother locked herself in her apartment and couldn't get the door open. She managed to get a hold of Gerrie from R&B mobile locksmith Pretoria. His team arrived within an hour. My mother had already loosened the handles from the inside and a neighbor from the outside. The R&B team replaced the lock body only. My mother is however still using her old handles and keys. Nothing else was new. They invoiced her R650 for the lock (at builders warehouse the WHOLE lock costs R159) they put a markup of R491. They invoiced her R750 for the labor of 25min. And a call out fee of R300. The total came to R1700 for opening and replacing the lock body. This Gerrie has no mercy. I did inform him that I will be posting on Hello Peter and that I will take further action. He told me to take further action.
