BE VERY CAREFUL NOT TO BE TRUSTED AT ALL - PROOF CAN BE GIVEN

I am writing this review because I am sick and tired of clients walking over me as a contractor and I cannot put my side of a story. I also think that contractors should stand together and start warning each other against clients who dont pay cause clients are quick to badmouth a contractor but dont tell the whole story.....

The Owner of RaytonCorp is refusing to pay me AFTER I have completed a job for him. They asked for a quote and accepted it. Only after accepting the job I get told that I HAVE to do the work on the Friday, Saturday, Sunday and Monday. I was not paid extra to do it over a weekend.

Monday he phones me dont worry come in on Tuesday to finish. I went there did my work and then he comes to me I have to make changes to the work which will now involve me having to work after hours for them and my schedule is already full. (Also note that they sent me a sketch of the drywall they wanted and that is what I quoted on - SKETCH AND WHATS APP CAN BE PROVED AS PROOF - and what they got. They have a glass contractor who will install glass after I am done who never told me what the specs and requirements are but actually that was also up to them to do as the glass contractor works for them NOT me now I get all the problems) To help them I said I will do my best to help them out but asked that they pay me for the work already completed as the first accepted quote had nothing to do with the changes he wants made that will be on a totally separate quote.

My schedule was planned so I will finish the Monday which then became the Tuesday and when he said now he wants to make changes I said okay then its no use painting the small wall that I originally quoted for as he wants it removed and I will do the cleaning once the new quotes work is done although most contractos dont even do that. All the other work has been done but he refused to pay for it.

I went there to get MY material and clean the site and he refused to give me my tools and material. I have many witnesses and all the paperwork to proof my statements.

I did exactly what he asked for and was quoted on and he wanted to give me more work but once I stood up for myself he turns nasty and starts lying and keeping things that belongs to me.

What type of people is this???

ONCE A CONTRACTOR GOES OUT OF HIS WAY FOR A CLIENT THEY START TAKING ADVANTAGE......NOT ACCEPTABLE AT ALL!

They got a quote, I did the work now they dont want to pay just because I said if you dont pay for the work already done as per the terms that you accepted I will not do extra work.

Do I not have rights as a contractor??? He tells me he wants to use me for more work but the minute I stood up for myself he turns around and threatens me, refuses to give me MY material and tools and tells me he is going to open a civil case against me. Civil case for what???

I did what I quoted for I have no obligation to do more that what I quoted for before I get paid.

He tells me that other contractors did him in before but now he does me in........

Why should contractors always have to just sit back and take it? I went out to their site numerous times for things they could of discussed with me over the phone my cost my time this was before they accepted the quote. The other contractor tells him that he will not even answer his calls after 4pm, but me I work weekends and I said I dont have time but will help them by working after hours then he refuses to pay me......JUST NOT RIGHT AT ALL.

Also they want me to fix things that another contractor messed up I have an email to proof that it was another contractor and that at my own cost......really!

Just remember if these guys treat contractors this way do you really think you can trust them????

Seems to be the more you go out of your way to help a client the more they walk over you and dont appreciate you and then they go and mad mouth the contractor cause they dont want people to know they are the ones in the wrong. No more I will stand up for my business and also other contractors who gets done in.
