No respect for human life?!

Yesterday was the first time I ever went to the the Rayton clinic and to my dismay I have to say that I was utterly disgusted by the way the medical staff treat their patients. I'm asthmatic, and I've been feeling quite sick since last week. I was experiencing a high fever and a wheezy chest. Upon my arrival a gentleman in a security outfit grabbed by ID and spoke to me very disrespectfully.. I left it and proceeded to go inside. Once inside no one acknowledged me or any of the other patients inside (one amongst us an elderly man with dangerously high blood pressure) eventually I walked up to the window and asked what the procedure is, as I need to see a Dr and also get a letter for my employer who insisted on a letter from a Dr. The first lady I spoke to was kind and said that unfortunately the Dr will not see me as you have to make an appointment, however one of the sister will attend to me and supply me with a letter for work. I then explained to her that I don't mind that at all, but unfortunately my employer won't accept such letters if it's not from a Dr. She then said she'll speak to the manager and see what she can do to assist. Another 30 min went by. Then another sister (higher ranked) came out and called me closer, then I explained to her that I am really not feeling well and that I really need some medical assistance, but my employer unfortunately does not want to accept a letter from a nurse. She started shouting at me that I should leave and go see a private Dr. I told her nicely that I can't as I don't have funds. She then proceeded in screaming at me, humiliating me infront of everyone. Not understanding that I dont mind being attended to by a sister, but my employer does not want to accept it that way. She was horribly rude and told me to leave. I was crying at this point having a very difficult time breathing properly. They all just went on about their business. My mother then asked if she can please see the matron, and we were told that she's in a meeting we must wait. We waited and. Waited to no avail. At this point the man with the high blood pressure was very pale and disoriented, it seemed as if he was about to pass out.... No one assisted him either. Another lady walked out of the clinic as they were unable to assist her with her sick child as the just said sorry we don't have medication... This after se spent nearly three hours there.

The sad part about all of this is that the Dr was right there a few steps away from us.... Doing absolutely nothing, seeing no one. She was just sitting there having personal conversations... Not even bothered about patients.

I eventually left and had to drive all the way to bronkhorstspruit hospital hoping someone would be able to assist. This is so dangerous as I was having a very tough time breathing properly due to the asthma.

I'm very disappointed and taken aback with how careless the staff at the Rayton clinic is. All of us have a right to medical care and I was refused that yesterday. I could have had a severe asthma attack and the aftermath of that could have been detrimental...this is unacceptable and disgusting. These people shouldn't be working in the medical industry as they have no regard for human life.

I truely hope this matter gets looked into.
