Goodday, my sister operates a Butchery in Alice, Eastern Cape. She is a sole proprietor and has NO COMPANY REGISTRATION NUMBER to log and register in the Biz portal, to get the certificate. The police came this morning to close down her Butchery, looking for the certificate. She tried explaining that she falls within the ****a category and has no certificate. They said no certificate no trading. She also sent an email to lockdownexemptions explaining her predicament, nothing has come forth. Phoned the 0800 number they also say the police can verify the above with dti, but they did not want stories, they only wanted the certificate. I wonder if you can assist me.
