Rawson Property - bullies and ************s

Just a heads-up for anyone considering using Rawson. My partner, myself and our newborn have just finished our lease with Rawson and requested to not extend, as we had our new addition and require an upsize. I app**** for another larger apartment and was told I was successful, only to be contacted a few days later with the agent saying they had decided on another client. This put me in a predicament as it was month end and I had nowhere to go. I have a good relationship with the owner, and contacted him as he had decided to sell (not through Rawson as they refused his request) after ending his lease/management contract with Rawson the previous month. I explained my situation, and he sympathised with me saying I could stay for another couple of weeks while I found another place to stay as a buyer had not been secured for the property. He was kind enough to not charge me on account of me being a good tenant. Rawson have contacted me saying that I may not stay in the apartment, even though the owner has said no problem, and they've gone as far as to invoice me for the entire month, even though they have no authority and have nothing to do with the property anymore.
