My fiancé and I were genuinely interested in a property and contacted the estate agent, Chadwin Thomas, to enquire about it. We were told that the property had already been sold and that it was a cash deal. Based on this information, we accepted that the property was no longer available and did not pursue it further. A few days later, I drove past the property and saw that viewings were taking place. My fiancé then contacted Chadwin Thomas again, and he confirmed that viewings were indeed taking place. We understand that circumstances can change and that a sale may fall through. However, if this was the case, we feel that we should have been informed rather than being told that the property had already been sold. We were genuinely interested in the property and would have appreciated the opportunity to view it and potentially make an offer. Being given this information prevented us from doing so. I am disappointed with how this situation was handled and feel that potential buyers deserve clear, honest and accurate information when enquiring about a property. I hope the agency will look into this matter and provide some clarity on what happened.
