Container ****

Came across them on the web. At first glance looks good, quite professional. Promising to sell containers delivered at a good price. They required upfront payment of R14500, Alfred Kunz provided a bank acc no and an invoice. Paid them and he said we would receive an email from the transport company to make arrangements. I received an email from Trans International PTY LTD demanding payment of R9920 for so called insurance. 2% of this would go towards insurance and 98% was refundable. I had to pay the R9920 up front because we didn't pay VAT on the original amount. This was when the red lights went on for me. I contacted Alfred and said I was not prepared to pay additional as the original quote included delivery. He said it was not his problem as it was with the Trans International. I contacted Madina K who was supposedly our contact at Trans International and they insisted that the container will not be released until they received payment, effectively holding me hostage. Then he threatened me by saying he was going to start charging me storage fees for the container if I dont pay to have it delivered. I then received a reply from Alfred saying that he would sort it out but we had to pay VAT of R2500. This is not 14% of R14500 by the way, and he would then have it delivered. I said we would be happy to pay the VAT but it would be COD when we take delivery. Phone down in my ear and he does not reply on emails anymore. I looked up the Company names and no such PTY Ltd companies are registered. If you look at the bogus websites you soon realize it is copied from various other sites and most of the text is just filler garbage. Obviously the two, RAT Recycling and trading as well as Trans international are in cahoots and nothing more than common *******. RAT is a good name as it describes the thieving *******s well. I demanded a refund but I'm being ignored.
