Raru - don't let your couriers undermine your business

Yet another online vendor who really couldn't care less about its customers.

I realise online vendors are at the mercy of couriers to do the delivery, but this just makes it all the more imperative that they choose their business partners wisely. I would strongly advise that Raru review its relationship with Courierit - it is being judged on the basis of their poor service.

My experience included non-delivery when someone was at home, a promise to turn the truck around that never was fulfilled, a further promise of delivery on the following business day that was a complete lie, and a total lack of response to phone calls to the branch and to the branch manager's cell. The only communication was an email to tell me the delivery had failed. No notification that it was out for delivery. Despite Raru having my cell number, no calls were made by the courier.

Raru and other online vendors cannot distance themselves from the uselessness of couriers. To the customer there is no distinction. Bear in mind it is possible to purchase from Amazon in the US and have the item reliably delivered to your door in 4 days, with constant updates on progress. A similar experience can be had with Takealot.
