20 days and counting for a refund and getting fed nothing but lies.....

On 9 June at 10:40pm I placed and paid for 2 orders for monitors totaling R19 235. The next morning on 10 June at 8:09am, I cancelled the orders on their site and sent an email at 8:14am with my bank details requesting a refund. Take note that they would not have even had time to order the monitors from their supplier between me placing the order and cancelling it. I got an email back explaining that the refund would take between 7 and 15 days to be processed. I then wrote back explaining that I was buying items for a number of people who would have paid me back so I need the refund to happen a lot sooner because I need that money to survive and live off for the month. Most companies will process a refund within 2 working days so this policy of theirs seemed excessive. I then got a reply stating I would be paid out on 20 June. Fine. I made a plan to survive until then.

On 20 June, I got an SMS from my bank stating R6395 had been refunded. I decided to wait a day or two as they may have done 2 separate payments. Nope. This was not the case. I emailed once again on 23 June at 7:12pm asking for the remaining R12840 to be refunded. On 24 June at 1:10pm, I got an excuse about daily payment limits and that they had to do the payments on 2 separate days. I don't understand how that's possible when you're a business operating with business bank accounts?? I got told I would be paid out later that day on 24 June. It came and went, no refund. I wrote again on 26 June at 3:10pm. My email got ignored. I wrote again on 27 June at 1:21pm. Ignored again. I wrote again that same day at 3:56pm and got a reply 40min later again saying that the refund is being split into 2 parts due to the amount and will be done on 2 separate days. I have yet to receive an email to my response back sent on 28 June at 11:41am.

So here I am, 20 days and counting, credit card maxed out, financially *****ed, doubtful they'll ever pay me back. DO NOT BUY FROM RARU. Pretty much the same complete lack of service you get from Evetech
