Swallowed by the Raptor

We were advised to have a high clearance vechile to access the roads. We’ve travelled to kilometres of potholes and bad roads only to arrive and notice that we won’t be able to reach the property due to high hills, consisting of loose gravel, rocks and erosion. They owners should have stated that we needed a 4x4 to reach the property.

The manager , Linda was kind enough to try and help. The owners weren’t approachable at all, giving lots of excuses. Stating it was not their problem and they did send a sms to state we needed a proper car, but it only stated a high clearance vechile. They were rude over the phone, and didn’t want to listen to any reasoning. Offering no solution, stating that we should have known what the Transkei looked liked.

We did research the area, but still could it have been prepared for what we were about to face.

The locals was very helpful in trying to find a a place to stay. But they were also really fed up with Dennis as this was not the first time visitors weren’t able to reach the property and a refund or solution was offered, they also needed to find alternative accommodation and spend extra money without a holiday.
