RAPID RENTALS, THE WORST COMPANY EVER

Rapid rentals is the worst company ever. i doubt the contract they make us sign is legal, they have crazy clauses. increasing rent every 6 monthS. If you want to terminate and give them enough notice they refuse. They charge 3 months rent and cancellation fee. What a *******!!!!!!

Good afternoon. Please note you have a legal lease agreement in place. If you cancel your lease earlier than the stipulated end date, you will be in breach of contract and will be liable for a early lease termination penalty.

Are you saying that your lease agreement does not get terminated?? This cannot be legal. Even employment contracts get terminated with notice. I wonder what the consumer protection act says about this. I wonder what the rental tribunal will say about this matter.

This below is one of the clauses on the contract, what does it mean then if we are not allowed to terminate the lease???
CANCELLATION
If and when the Landlord or Tenant wants to cancel this lease agreement, the Landlord or the Tenant is allowed to tell the
other that they want the Lease to end by sending a letter no less than two (2) calendar months before the lease agreement or renewal letter ends. If a tenant gives less than two (2) months written notice for example 20 (twenty) business days' notice, a cancellation penalty Is allowed and will be charged as stipulated In clause 35.1. & 35.2.

You are more than welcome to cancel / terminate your lease whenever you want. That does not mean you will not be liable for a penalty fee and the rent until we found a new suitable tenant. In the clause you just posted, it clearly states that there will be a "cancellation penalty" so I am not sure why you are angry since you cancelled your lease earlier than what the end date was.

I am asking you to explain this clause because it talks about 2 months notice. The penalty comes into effect only if I give less than two months. Can you explain.
