Rapid Rentals is the cancer of the housing and rental industry. No matter what your circumstances, make a point to skip every listing you see from them, you will regret dealing with them.

Both tenants and owners need to get away from Rapid Rentals before the damage they suffer becomes too great. Here are a few things they did while we rented with Rapid Rentals:

Stole interest levied on my deposit.

Stole two thirds of my deposit without even sending a statement for the costs they levied against it.

Two days late with rent they sent me a letter of demand drafted in contradiction of the relevant laws and regulations. The letter of demand was sent a day after I made payment. Rapid Rentals then proceeded to claim R 500.00 and additional costs *******ly from my deposit.

Increased rent every six months by the maximum amount after they said they would not.

Failed to provide an electrical certificate for the home we leased, where electrical wiring was hanging loose from the roof which I had to eventually repair out of my own pocket.

Rapid rentals also failed to repair the problems reported to them in the initial inspection. They also failed to send me a copy of the inspection that they did after numerous requests, I never saw a copy of their inspection and they refused that I do my own inspection. Upon moving out Rapid Rentals again failed to provide the inspection list.

The house was in a worse condition before we moved in and was left in a better condition after we moved out. Through the g**** vine I found out that absolutely no work was done on the house after we moved out. Owners need to get to their houses and inspect the properties themselves ASAP.

Rapid Rentals is the most *****ed, greedy and ******* rentals agency possibly even on the planet.

I have made a conscious decision to never do business with them ever again, we are finally now renting with a brilliant rental agency that has integrity and it is a wonderful experience to have after dealing with the cancer that is Rapid Rentals.
