Rather stay away!! Safe yourself the heartache

This had been the worst experience of my life. Both me and my neighbor decided to make use of Rapid Pools to build our pools at the same time. Gus the owner came to see us and we paid R10 000 each.

After assuring us that the whole process will only take 15 working days if weather permits. After they received payment we received a letter of “estimated date” that they would start we did not hear anything again two days after the estimated date and after sending numerous emails, sms, what’s up message we heard back... the message was rude and it accused us of being impatient and that we need to realize that they do this in their time not ours. After my neighbor complained as well she got slapped with a string of the same style message- we kept proof of everything but unfortunately I can’t upload it on here as it does not allow.

It was at this stage that we realized that we will never get our pool as promised. I then asked for a refund... This clearly will never happen as Gus or Amy whom ever rep**** to my message then send me the following- “And as I said... by all means try in vain but no lawyer will force us to change our terms and conditions and any letters of demand will be discarded and ignored“ Now what you need to know is that this contract is completely one sided and does not protect you as the consumer at all.

The next morning we received a message that a team will start today with both pools (at this point in time we have completely lost faith in RP and just wanted it to end). They showed up or will I say I team of men we have never seen or met. My neighbor then phone Gus and asked how can they dig a pool if we haven’t even talked about a design( was told this will happen before pool gets dug). We were the informed that Amy is on her way. When Amy arrived we asked for a refund she did not even stay long enough for my husband to finish his sentence and she flee the scene ... we then got this message : “I advise that you or your husband calls me urgently “

After ignoring several calls while driving I answered a call that said they are on the way to police station to lay a case of assault against us as we assaulted Amy - thankfully we had a recording of the whole incident and after telling them that they put the phone down in my ear..... I did not hear anything from then again.

We received a “final legal notice “ written by RP management stating that they will be keeping our deposit and that it’s no refundable according to the SLA in the contract and that should we say anything about this whole ordeal we will be taken to court for decimation charges. So not only can you lie, ***** and accuse us of assault you can also bully us into not saying a word. - I have never been treated like this ever it’s not only shocking it’s heartbreaking as we promise our kids a pool only to show them that bullying still occurs even when you are an adult ????

I am not going to keep quiet and knowing and seeing first hand on the message below he will bully me into taking this down or call me a **** - I have proof of everything mentioned on top.

These are the people our parents warned us about and I feel disappointed that they still do what they do and can get away with it, it’s really not fair to be treated like this and that after I paid you - I do not want to resolve this matter I only want a refund and according to the consumer act I am fully untitled to that so Rapid Pools can you please please pay back the money you took from us and make this right.
