Progress report after 6 months of building a Pool
This is a progress report of building pool in Glen Eagle estate.
21 February 2019: • Paid deposit for Swimming pool. R10 000 (20% of quote) • Send email to confirm start date (4 March), Proof of payment, and signed contract. (I see I only signed the first page of the contract)
4 March 2019: • Rapid pools never arrived to start the pool after it was explicitly agreed upon. I took a days annual leave because their contract stipulate that you have to be present on the first day when they start digging. I phoned them to enquire as to what time they will be arriving. I speak to Gus the owner, and he is very rude on the phone.
5 April 2019: • After numerous enquiries as to when they would start at my site after paying the first deposit (as well as some rude replies from them) Rapid pools arrive for the first time onsite to do work. • They ask for second draw of money. I pay another R10 000 (20% of quote)
6 April 2019: • I fixed the broken pipe.
26 April 2019: • Rapid pools arrive the second time onsite to do work. They indicate that due to weather conditions they have a backlog on their side.
16 May 2019: • Rapid pools sends an email to so that the backlog is cleared and that they will continue with my pool. They also asked a date when the supplier can drop off material at my house.
20 May 2019: • Supplier dropped off Material
21 May 2019: • Rapid pools arrive the third time onsite to do work. • Ask for a third draw of money. I pay another R10 000 (20% of quote)
6 June 2019: • Rapid Pools sends out an email that all outstanding pools would be finished by end of July.
1 July 2019: • Rapid Pools sends an email to say they now have problems with their supplier but if I pay another R10 000 they can get the material faster and make progress on my site.
8 July 2019: • I send them an email to tell them I will not pay more money until they have done any more work.
13 – 14 August: • Got a lawyer involved. Rapid Pools promise that the pool will be complete by 2nd September.
15 August 2019: • Supplier dropped off Material
19 August 2019: • Rapid pools arrive the fourth time onsite to do work.
Until 29 August 2019 they have not been onsite again and the work remaining is more than 10 days of work.

There was a supplier mess up so all can be justified. Your project will get completed once the defamatory comments cease. We urge you to refrain from making accusations that you dont have all the facts about, rather contact us and ask in future. Thank you for your co-operation
