Paid money for nothing

3 Months ago my husband and I went to them for Debt Consolidation before we knew what was happening we had to sign documents. We thought that it was for the loan. Afterwards we were informed it was actually for Debt Review. We were told we can cancel it after 2 months if not happy, without any costs. We cancelled it and then money was still deducted from my account. Which they refuse to pay us back. We were under the impression the account was cancelled and that they won't take money from my bank account. We tried to get the money back. We paid them R11 000 in total. I mean we could have paid off 4 accounts with that money. They did absolutely nothing for us. Just added more to our debt and put us in a debt review, who knows when we will ever get cleared. We want to buy a house and not pay rent every month but not sure when we will be able to do so.
