Doctors have forgotten their calling!

The doctors at RRMC have forgotten their Hippocratic oath. "I will remember that I remain a member of society, with special obligations to all my fellow human beings, those sound of mind and body as well as the infirm."

The doctors at this centre have without warning to their patients changed their closing time to 15h00. There are no locums or anyone on duty in the evening when working people are able to visit the doctor. The system now requires a patient to make an appointment to see a doctor (which is sometimes not on the day that the patient is feeling unwell). Worse still is that the appointment system is so poorly managed that my son went for his appointment on a wrong day and had to see another doctor two hours later. All our other activities for the day had to be changed to accommodate the mess made by the medical centre.

Doctors are not available throughout the day, why do they have empty consulting rooms when patients need to be treated?

Another issue I have is that all the undercover patient parking has been allocated as staff parking. Unwell patients have to park in the sun a distance away from the building with great pain and discomfort.

My suggestion is that the partners have fixed consecutive hours every day, thereafter, there must be sufficient locums on duty until at least 7 pm and there MUST be service on Saturdays. Remember you serve a social need to be available to treat our ailments when your patients need you.

All staff and tenants must park in the outdoor parking at the back of the building.
