The prowlers in catering

<p>My family and I have recntly dealt with a very shadey catering company. </p> <p>It all began in March 2016, when we had spoken to the catering company about catering an event which was to be held on the 13th of May 2016 , this included the food and decor. It was a total of R23 550.00.</p> <p>However the event was cancelled 2 weeks prior to the day and an immediate notification was given to the catering company.</p> <p>Food was split in half R8750.00 </p> <p>Decor: R6 050.00</p> <p>my total was R15 050.00</p> <p>My share of the money was paid on 2 seperate occassions : first payment: 20-03-2016</p> <p>second payment: 01-05-2016</p> <p>The cancelation was done on the 02-05-2016.</p> <p>A total of R4500.00 was deducted.</p> <p>This is completely absurd, money to be deducted when a two week notification was given and what makes it even more absurd is the fact that there was no contract at all.</p> <p>I have however seen their contract which they have given to previous clients and NO cancelation fee is stipulated on the contract.</p> <p>I feel that I have been ****** and would appreciate help in getting my money back.</p> <p> </p> <p> </p>
