Let me start by sayin, I looked for a small business to support them. Lock Down killed many small businesses and I’m a dedicated believer in utilizing them, rather than the big brands. Like SA….. 30 years of destruction, can't be recovered in 4 years. So I need to realize that small businesses have to use whatever is out there to deliver their services. Hell…I had no water for 9 days…and I pay for that???? …Go Figure

Rain Irrigation came up on my Google Search. 1 ) Christo took my call and gave a time and date. He arrived a day early (maybe a job was canceled), and with little knowledge of some job’s requirements, delays can/do happen. 2) He made me aware of a discount if the full amount is paid up-front ( Small businesses don't have the capital that big brands do. They rely on cash-flow) but hey, I saved a little. 3) I will agree that a Site-inspection should be done, but with smaller amounts, traveling from Centurion to Randburg can’t happen for free. So I did what I had to, and saved them time and me money. 4)The site was cleared and prepared by me, knowing that it’s a painful exercise in some cases, and can add many hours onto a job, causing delays for other clients. What else can they do? They need to get work, make money, pay salaries and try to stay alive. 5) So the guys arrived later than I expected, but Every bit of work I’ve had done on my house by small and bigger businesses has been delayed, for one reason or another. 6)The plan was meticulous and all jobs were completed in an intelligent manner. (They worked smart and not hard) even though they DID work frickin hard in 32 degrees. I had lots of drinking water available for them. They're after-all humans. Not robots or slaves. 7) Two pipes had to be broken, but not before they’d made me aware. I realized that their installed Water pipes have to go a certain way and well…..that's just how it is. If not, then you can’t have a Backup system. Maybe also why, Site-inspection should be done, but charging for this might chase “Ahem….entitled clients” away….and Who can afford that???….Eish. Tough one. 8) There's not much involving their electrics needed. Plug it into a provided socket, or I have to ensure an available breaker. They're not electricians. Anyone can do that, otherwise they need to employ electricians and that pushes the price up even more. 9)On that note, they can easily do simple plumbing. It's a garden-tap and I wasn’t going to expect an interior-decor type result. An experienced plumber adds to the price as well…. 10) They were very quiet, compared to many other workers I've had around. When I asked them questions, they gave simple answers. It is important to have someone “in-the-know” there during installation, to assist them with unforeseen challenges and warnings of where existing infrastructure is. I couldn’t expect them to know everything. 11) They got it working and then started cleaning up. Sure the property wasn’t exactly as they found it, but in all fairness, it was hot and they’d worked all day. 12) If you expect what some clients do, then be prepared to pay a LOT more. Then you can complain. I got exactly what I paid for and am happy.
