Bad attitude and service

My mother in law bought furniture from this store and account and a year later she lost her job. She didn't take out insurance but that is her problem so she did the right thing went to the store to report that she is not working and would like to make an arrange to pay a lower installment until she got another job.
The people working there were not helpful at all they turned her away and told her that if she doesn't come up with the money they will send the police through and take anything from her house to make up the amount she is owing them then sell them to make the money owing.
my wife and I went through to try and understand what was going on and we wanted to pay for her as well to reduce the installments owing but we were also greeting by rude people who refused the money and told us that we have to raise more money first. If I am not mistaken this is against NCA as a consumer is allowed to ask for an arrangement if they nor longer meet the monthly installments. If this wasn't enough stress a week ago she served by summons and the person who served her said she shouldn't go court she should go to the store but why because they have been refusing the money and arrangement.
