I would like to share my Experience with Rage store that is based in Cape Town Golden Arche on the 25 July 2019. The time was 16:42 when i made a Purchase at the store, i had my Phone which i believe when i was paying was at the Counter. i realized when i was out of the store that my phone was not in my bag and the only time i last had it was when i was in the Store. i went back to the store and reported the incident and i requested for a Footage so that i can see who stole/took my Phone. i was told their Cameras only capture Live they done restore what has happened previously. i do believe and acknowledge that it could be Customers who stole it, but my main Concern is if the staff is aware of how their Camera operates also they could have taken it also.i just want closure, why do they have Cameras if they only capture lives Moments and dont keep it for 2 weeks? The South African Consumer Protection Act, No 68 of 2008 signed on 24 April 2009 and the purpose of the Act is to protect the interests of all consumers, ensure accessible, transparent and efficient redress for consumers who are subjected to abuse or exploitation in the marketplace and also to give effect to internationally recognized consumer rights. I feel like this act is ignored at This Tore.

The Consumer Protection Act define a consumer as any person to whom goods and services are marketed, who is a user of the supplier’s goods, enters into a transaction with the supplier or service provider of any services and products.

I raised this matter informally, but haven't been satisfied with the outcome. I tried Speaking to the staff Member and called Head office I feel like they are not treating this matter as important. I am very upset about this. I would hate to escalate this matter for the public entity to discover about my experience of your business and how you deal with important matters.
