Shoes started tearing after wearing them 3 times, apparently i cannot exchange them since i no longer have the box

<p>I bought a pair of sandals at Rage Sasolburg branch on the 21st of October 2016, i wore them 3 times and they started to tear. On Saturday 29 October i took them back but the shop attendants say they cannot take them back because i no longer have the box. I did not keep the box because i expected the quality of the shoes to be good afterall Rage specialises in shoes. I still have the receipt but they won't take them back. I am really dissapointed. </p> <p> </p>
