Shoe exchange

I bought a pair of shoes in February at Rage Store Centurion Mall 3 days later I took them back because of size problem I asked for exchange I misplaced reciept they gave me head office numbers where I spoke to customer service ladies whom where rude to me. I ask if I could speak to the manager, Wendy was not different to the ladies at store they told me that if it was an account they would have helped the question I asked they failed to answer was what is the different between account and cash? I have date and time so what could be the reason why they don't want to help?
