Reckless employees damaging personal property
I would like to lay a complaint regarding incident that happened at your Rage in Korsten Port Elizabeth.
As per attached photos is my phone, as u can see the glass screen protector is cracked and also my screen.
I went into the store and bought a black boot and paid my account up to date. When proceeding out of the store my daughter sees a boot but i advise her that she doesn't have a size. One of the ladies in the store insists that i purchase the boot for her and says she can fit it but like i had said it doesnt fit because its a size 1. She then says there is size 2 in a different color which my daughter also fits but its still too small. The problem started when the lady then takes the papers and cardboard that u put in the boots from my hand and my phone falls. I ask her why would she just take it out of my hand instead of asking me to give it to her because now phone has fallen. When she picks up my phone she then tries to convince me that its just my glass screen protector that is damaged and i had to repeatedly show her that my actual screen has broken as she would not take responsibility. I explain to her that this is a new phone that she has just broken. She eventually sees that she broke my phone and i ask so what happens now bcz this is a new phone and all she says is "im sorry" at first i was gonna let it go but my phone got worse.
I would not have minded if it was just my glass screen protector that was damaged but instead it is my actual screen. It has become worse overnight because the ink is leaking through the crack as you can see in the attached photos.
If this was a private matter then i would have dealt with it privately but due to the fact that this happened in one of ur stores by one of your sales consultants i am claiming for the instore damage of my phone and request that my screen must be fixed. My screen costs about R2800 and fortunately i do have insurance that fixed damages therefore i only require the access to be paid even though my insurance premium is going to go up due to this.
I have attached my insurance document to confirm the access amount of R500. Dont get me wrong, i do accept her apology but unfortunately "im sorry" does not fix my phone.
If you need any further information or have an queries please dont hesitate to contact me. I would also like feedback in two to three working days regarding the progress of my claim or where it would need to be escalated to the CEO of Rage.
Regards
