Rage earrings

I bought earings on thursday the 31st of July and black heel boots for my fathers funeral i left friday on saturday morning i realised that one earing is damaged .so yesterday on the 7th i returned the earing am being told they cant replace the earing due to hygiene...i mean its damaged no one is gonna buy it i must be replaced. Am so dissapointed with the level of service of Rage ..i wasnt asking for a refund but a replacement...whats so hard with doing that..clearly the word must be out that rage doesnt replace damaged items.
