PLEASE UPDATE CREDIT RECORD

I finally paid off my account, and got tempted to continue with my account but to my surprise on my credit record it keeps updating that I am still missing payments, now I CANT APPLY FOR CREDIT ANYWHERE BECAUSE OF THIS , WHEN YOU REQUEST CLOSURE OF ACCOUNT IT NEVER HAPPENS. So disappointed don't know what to do anymore
