Pathetic After sales Customer Service

I bought a pair of boots at Rage Protea Glen Mall in March 2020, the boots have torn drastically for boots which are less than six months, mind you these are not worn daily. As we all misplace items i have also misplaced the slip however have the box as well as the transaction on my bank statement, i went to the store to report this and request an exchange and was told without the slip i will not be assisted. i have the original box and bankstement as as mentioned is this how your customers are treated in times of need???
