Marked down / Sale shoe still original price in system

Yesterday I saw a pair of mustard (yellow) ballerina flats in Rage Parkview Shopping Center with a on sale sticker and the sale price versus the original price. Today I went to buy the shoes and the very same sale sticker with the very same sale price versus the original price is still on it. After trying them on and proceeding to pay for it at the advertised sale price, I am told that the shoes or back to the original price in the system. I am asked if I still want them at the original price not the advertised sale price. I say no because that is false advertising. I ask who is in charge. I am told the person in charge is not in. I ask how to follow up on this and I am directed to the rage website. The person in charge walks in and I explain the situation. She tells the other person behind the till to refresh the system. The original price still reflects without any dates of when it went back from sale to original. I ask how this is even possible since it is the same pair that was on the shelf, so this cannot be the case of them receiving a new pair of the same shoe that is suddenly better quality and therefore to be sold at the original price. The person in charge calls customer service to explain that the customer wants the shoe at the advertised marked-down price. The person in charge is still on the phone. Regardless of how this turns out I have decided to still post this review so that other customers know what to do and are not made to pay more than what is advertised for any product.

Reviewer Update
The person in charge was assisted by customer service with regards to the shoes on sale still reflecting the original price on their system. After she hung up, she was able to sell the shoes to me at the advertised sale price (it probably was updated in their system while she was on the phone / by customer service). She thanked me for my patience and I thanked her for going the extra mile. I asked if this is something the cashiers at the till need to be trained on (if they know the number of the customer service line and if they are allowed to call them on behalf of the customer) because only giving the customer to pay more than what was advertised or walk out of the store empty handed is a bit disappointing.
