False Advertising/Bad customer service

I'd like to address the appalling behavior given today Sunday 21-07-04 by the the assistant manager at RAGE EASTGATE. Phindile Rhadebe

My mother and I purchased boots at this store on Saturday afternoon, we then went back on Sunday 21-07-04 to purchase additional items, whilst looking around we came across a mustard long sleeved dress price on the tag clearly stated R69.99

The teller then advised the item is not R69.99 as marked and is actually R169.99

We then asked to speak to the manager, as she approached I explained the priced tag on this specific dress is clearly marked as R69.99 and as a customer the Price I see is the Price I will pay.

The Assistant manager Phindile Rhadebe, refused to assit me, she gave me attitude and told me she cannot help me as the casual employee who made the error would now have to be present and pay in the R100 diffrence.

Phindile made it seem as if I was wrong as a customer and casually removed the R69.99 price tag on the dress and replaced the tag with R169.99

I asked Phindile why is she changing the price on dress, she rep**** She Is Correcting The Mistake I kept insisting I will pay the price that is marked on the dress and she kept insisting I will pay R169.99

I told Phindile I'm going to report her she responded, Yes I must report her as she cannot assist me and she will not allow me as the customer to purchase the item at R69.99

I asked Phindile Rhadebe to please give me her details as she did not have a however she rudely refused to give me her name and surname and walked away.

I then approached the lady that stood at the door of the store (she sanatises the customers hands) I asked her if she knew what the Assistnat managers name and surname was? and she mentioned the manager Angel is back from lunch we can speak to her.

The Manager Angel, was fami**** with my mom as she assisted her on the Friday and Saturday, ANGEL intervened and also stated its an error made by a casual staff who is not available to address the issue

Only when she draws up the new weekly working Roster/schedule will she know when she will be able to approach the casual employee and notify this person she is liable for the R100.

Angel mentioned she will notify us when we can make the purchase of the item for R69.99 which she put aside.

I have every right as a consumer to purchase the item at R69.99 its not my fault an error was made. what I see is what I pay!!!!

In my opinion I should have left that store with the item @ R69.99
