Exchange of damaged goods

I bought boots at rage in Eastlynne last month, they didn't even last a week, then I returned them to to the store because they were damaged, the sole was broken. Unfortunately I didn't have my copy of receipt and the box because my intention was not to return them, I liked them. I received bad customer services with bad attitude, they did an account query and let me exchange for something else but then I was given the goods on hand, I was told that the department said that I shouldn't get a box nor a plastic for that matter. I am so disappointed I'm even thinking of closing my store account because of the bad treatment I received.
