Damaged goods

I bought a pair of shoes at rage pavilion mall in Durban only to find that the other shoe is damaged I went to rage the groove mall on Monday 08/04 to complain and they said to me that they can give me my money back bcoz I wore the shoes. I mean I couldn't wear them bcoz they were damaged I had to wear something else for that occasion. I want my money back pls rage
