Bad customer service

Really not happy bought sandals cash at rage for my daughter, when I got home the sandal dnt fit but noticed I have lost my receipt. I then went to maponya rage to change them the told me I should go where I had made my purchase which was Protea Glen mall when I got the the said the won't change it without a receipt. I really dnt understand why because when I made the purchase the sandals where scanned out so if I am returning why cnt they scan them back in... Will never purchase at rage ever again the have the worst customer service
