Worst service in history
Well where to start. Even though the Zontes motorbike is great, the service i have received from Zontes Pretoria North Branch has been the worst service I have ever experienced. The owner was helpful or at least I thought so when I went to him about the invoice we got. To start we were sold a Demo model grey with 7000km on the clock. After we paid for it we were then told we cannot get that one so we are getting a white one with 17000km on the clock and the dash screen has already been replaced. After this I decided to contact the owner, he made a plan to find us a bike that we really wanted and we loved it. We were so happy. So they had the bike at the north branch for about 3 weeks before we actually took it. We waited 3 days for them to complete a simple PDI. There was no communication from them what so ever, nobody could tell us what was happening. So after all the complaining and nagging and just trying to find out what is going on we were then told that the wind guard screen had to be replaced along with all its components. So I said thanks and asked do they maybe have an estimate time. Of course the answer was no sorry. So when we got the bike we noticed that the filler bottle was leaking which was not due to any fault. We took it back and they replaced it. This is where the problem started. Upon arrival at home my husband had a look at the bike and noticed that the seat was not clipped in properly, the number plate holder was only fastened with 1 bolt. There was a bolt missing in the front mud guard fering. The brake light was flashing and the bike would ot charge, the ABS light stayed on and did not switch off. I was absolutely disgusted in the service so naturally as I am getting no communication from the staff I contacted the owner. He said bring it in so we can at least fix our mistakes. Sure no problem. The picked the bike up on Thursday afternoon. Please note we were told by the owner that we will get it back before the weekend. They only started working on the bike on Friday late afternoon. So we only got it back on Saturday afternoon. Before we got it back we had a very heated discussion about the brake pads and the service. As the brake pads only had about 500 km that they could still go, it was said they can be changed in the next service, which was supposed to be done before we took collection of the bike. It was not done. The bike has not been to Dekra for the road worthy, the finally changed the brakes anyway after we spoke to the Hr Legal advisor. The only reason we bought a Zontes was because of Esta at bike and biker warehouse. She sold the bike to us with all her knowledge. The technicians at PTA north branch mess the stuff up more than the fix it. The owner should have said here is a new bike for all the **** that we have had to constantly argue about. They messed this whole story up from the word go and never in my life have I been so disgusted in bad service. No here we are we we finally get to go enjoy our bike for the first time since we have had it and guess what. The ABS still just stays on. We asked the technician for advise and his reply is .... Manual. We read it, did what it said we should do and it did not work. So now I ask again. Does it really matter if you pay 20 rand or 200 rand. The service should still be the same. I absolutely refuse to except the fact that the owner and his staff are incapable of fixing something so simple. If the main technician worked on the bike from the first day I am sure there would jot have been so many issues, however he allowed the Appy to work on it and did not check his work so here we are. So it seems like we have been forced to want to get our money back and look for another brand of bike. It would have been so much easier if they just did the jobs they get paid to do. As far as I am concerned the owner should cut his losses and supply a new bike to us at the price we paid. I am now also going to go to the ombudsman about this whole thing. We were invited to go promote the brand of Zontes this weekend but how can i go and say it is a good bike when we have had nothing but bad service. We have wasted so much petrol taking the bike back and forth. Whe got the bike two weeks ago and we have not once been able to enjoy it yet. It really is a beautiful bike, it is a pitty that the north staff had to ruin it. Ps they also have no selling skills. Me and my Husband got another couple to buy this brand I stead of another brand. So you tell me now, will you resolve the issue of the ABS now. You have managed to get everything else fixed. Can I take my bike to Bike and Biker warehouse so they can resolve it for me on your cost or are you going to supply me with a new bike at the price I paid for mine.
