Not Quick Lane Upinton's problem.

In January 2024 I took my car (BMW X3) to Quick Lane Upington to have the timing chain replaced. To be on the safe side they also replaced the chain of the oil pump. In the beginning of February I received my car back. The very next I had to take it back as suddenly it was smoking like it was on fire. Later that afternoon I received a call to come and fetch my car as they checked it over and could find nothing wrong. The car how ever did not stop smoking. We did a bit of investigating ourselves and it seemed like the valve stem seals needed to be replaced. I then phoned Quick Lane Upington to schedule the repairs. I am actually to this day still waiting for that call. In the meantime, we bought a new bakkie and did not really drive the car as my logic told me that something was wrong, and I didn't want to break it completely. We did drive the car once or twice a week, short distances, just not to let it stand. In the beginning of May I had to fetch my children from work and wonder above wonder the engine broke down about one kilometer from my house. My first call was to Quick Lane Upington upon which the answer was that it is not their problem, and I need to take it to Mayfair Gearbox as it is suddenly now a gearbox problem. After inspection of which not even Mayfair did as I asked, they reported that the oil pump broke and the car was driving without oil. My first question was why there was no warning on the cars system about the apparent failure. Also keeping in mind that the car was serviced by Quick Lane as per their invoice in January 2024. So today I own a broke down BMW X3 worth almost nothing and it is still not Quick Lane Upington's' problem as according to him, they did not work on the oil pump.
