I had a Kitchen replaced in a rental Duplex unit in a security Complex. I was introduced to Jean Pierre Zeelie who does kitchen designs. He did the design for me and then left the Company by who he was employed to join Quick Fit Cupboards. He also convinced me to replace the cupboards in all 3 the bedrooms.

They initially installed the wrong Kitchen cupboards. Before the final inspection had been done they contacted my Bank directly requesting final payment of outstanding 10%.

After inspection and being informed of having installed the wrong Kitchen Cupboards they offered to reduce the price should I accept them as is. I said NO as I wanted what I had paid for. They had also made a bedroom cupboard smaller than what the original one was resulting in it not covering the original area, which resulted in an open space between cupboard and floor tiles on the ground.

They replaced the Kitchen cupboards with the correct Cupboards. The owner of Quick Fit Cupboards then contacted the person who does the inspection and who has spare keys for the unit as Quick Fit Cupboards had lost the keys, which the Caretaker of the Units gave them when they did the original installation.

The owner of Quick Fit Cupboards, Daan Boraine, informed me he would correct the mistake. He collected the spare keys and then went to remove all the kitchen cupboard doors and shelves. He then demanded the last 10% payment before returning any of the items he had removed.

I informed him that he has 72 hours to return and replace what he had removed. Should this not happen I will contract with another company to replace and fix what he have removed? I will also bill him for the difference. He has been offered to have the 10% paid into a Trust with an attorney to be sure he will get his money after the work had been done to satisfaction. I have offered to pay the remaining 10% to the person doing the inspection. Even the new contractor offered to pay him the outstanding amount should he go and finish and replace what he had removed.

He refused all these offers and tries to ********* me by sending me pictures of the doors shelves and drawers he had removed. Stating that should I pay the remaining 10% he will replace the items within 48 hours.

This is ********* which is ******* and also against the law. Even against his very own agreement.

The owner of Quick Fit Cupboards, Daan Boraine, cannot be trusted and behaves like a ****.
