Fictitious Employment Contract - ABSA

Late April 2018 I came across a Job Notice on the Quest Staffing Solutions website, they had advertised that they were looking for customer service agents to work for ABSA. I promptly sent in my CV and app****. I was then invited to their offices in Braampark by Buci to complete a 4-hour assessment. After completing the assessment, I was told that if I had met the requirements of the assessment I would be contacted to come in and sign the contract of employment. A week or so later I received the phone call that I had successfully completed the assessment and I needed to come in the next day to sign the employment contract and I was advised to bring along my tax certificate, bank statements and ID. I arrived the next day on time, supp**** the Quest consultants with all the documents they required from me and continued to sign the employment contract. I was then told to await a phone call from them where they will provide my starting date. This all occurred early May 2018. Fast forward to the present date, 17th August 2018. I haven’t received any calls from them. Whenever I try reach-out I am given the run-around. In no-way has anyone from the office tried to reach out to me to explain the situation. I’ve turned down job offers because I was made to be under the impression that I was no longer unemployed. Which is very confusing since I signed an employment contract almost 4 months ago and I’m still unemployed. This experience has been exhausting to say the least..
