Totally ridiculous and unfair settlement offer.

I don't normally resort to this, but I'm totally disgusted by the way Quest Claims Solutions are handling my claim. My Son was involved in an accident where the Quest Claims Solutions client drove in front of my son while crossing a 4way stop. The other driver was very honest in admitting guilt which I truly appreciate. The claim was submitted to Quest Claims Solutions and after about 2 months I received a ridiculous settlement of just over R2377.68. The cheapest claim I could get to repair the vehicle was R23361.87. Quest Claims Solutions based the settlement of a 60/40 liability even though their client admitted to have caused the accident to them and to me in writing. They also tried to deduct 40% for their clients damaged but luckily I saw correspondence that their client didn't claim. They then amended the settlement to R6374.10. It just shows that they took a chance or just didn't apply much attention when the claim was reviewed. The assessor that Quest Claims Solutions used reduced the quote of repair to just R10623.50 by quoting on alternative (pirate) parts and excluding essential components that had to be repaired. So in short. Their client admitted being responsible but they only settle on R6374.10 for damages of R23361.87. After several attempts to reason with Quest Claims Solutions they still refuse to compromise and I have to carry the financial burden. Alternative part are sub standard and will reduce the value of the vehicle. I now have to resort to the Small Claims Court to claim directly from their client which I feel is totally unnecessary and not in the best interests of their client.
