I am currently 39 weeks and 5 days pregnant with my second child. I was told that this birth would be an repeat C Section as I have had 1x repeat C Section previously and please note its just under a year ago as my first born turned 1 in June 2020. However, they had told me to come into the hospital on the morning of the 13th August 2020 to be admitted and prepped for theatre on the 14th August 2020. I adhered to that request and went and got admitted. When the Dr came to do his check up, he saw that I had not yet received results from my glucose test done on the 30th July 2020 at the clinic visit and therefore it was high that day, now 2 weeks later they want to use this as an excuse as to why they won't be performing my C Section anymore and due to them not doing Caesarians over weekends, I must wait till Monday now and stay in hospital till then. Is this fair? This is medical Malpractice and also I have already signed consent for my C Section to be done so now they also breaching a C Section! I am not happy with the stay so far and also the beds are so hard and hurts you as you lay on it, you can't even call this a mattress on the bed, it's so thin. I was told that this is one of the best hospitals in KZN but no sorry I so far see it as the worst hospital. I will be opening a law suit against the individuals who are not Co operating let something just happen or for me to go into labour with my child, knowing my history too.
