How to choke on a steak at Quay 4!

Being Family Day, a significant public holiday in South Africa and a day that is sought-after for relaxation, my husband and I, decided to go to the V&A Waterfront for a meal. We had initially decided to go to the V&A Food Market, but unfortunately and to our disappointment found that it was under construction. We then turned our sights to Spur, knowing the quality of their steaks in particular (as we both love steak). However, journeying along, we were enticed by the promotion of the 200g Sirloin Steak with chips at R119.00 at Quay 4. Having frequented this establishment before, we were confident that we were getting a great deal. We even waited in line for the experience that awaited us once we were seated (shocking!!). Upon being seated, we waited more than 15 minutes to even be acknowledged by a waiter/ess. After witnessing multiple tables around, us being attended too that arrived after us, and asking two waitresses for service, I had, had enough and went in seek of a manager for assistance in being attended too. Subsequently my husband and I, placed our order in full (drinks and mains), however once the food arrived, we were once again in a place of extreme disappointment. We received butchered sirloin steaks (requested medium), extremely dry and utterly tasteless with no flavour (we have extreme regret for the *** who sacrificed its life for this carnage). I could not even pay enough respect to finish the steak. What a major disappointment, Spur would have been so much better. We will never darken the entrance of Quay 4 again, not even the live music (which was awesome, by the way), will bring us back again. Money wasted, especially in these tough economic times!
