Quattro refused to terminate student accommodation contract

During the lockdown all students at Quattro Student accommodation we requested to vacate the premises by the Quattro. My son Enos Baloyi is one of the students. He left Quattro on the 18th of March 2020, since then he never went to school. Everything is done online. The Quattro are requesting accommodation fees on absentia of the students. An email was sent to Quattro to terminate the contract during March 2020. They refused to terminate the contract and they demanded the fees to paid for 11 months. Kindly assist.
