Complain - Sucking service

I am a Quantum medical aid *** for some years to date but I never had such an a bad experienced like this in my entire life as a member, however I felt that I would share this story to the young ones who are still hunting for medical Aid that would rescue their members in a needy situation, however would love to warn them not Quantum who is underwritten by Discovery if they care about their families: On 14/11/2019 I took my wife to Dr Perumal - Gynecologist for a ladies issue which tendered to be a huge issue as it wanted her to be admitted in Hibiscuss Hospital for a proper examination which was going to be a day procedure on 26/11/2019 at 06:00. I took the forms her gave me immediately to Hibiscus and concluded a pre booking for the 26/11 before requesting a pre authorization from our Medical aid. The next day 15/11/2019 I emailed my Med Aid on the email enlisted in their site where I waited for 3 days without an answer before I opted to call them to request the authorization. All codes from Doctors room were supp**** to the consulted who answered the call and we parted ways knowing that all is fine. I was given all turn around times/hours and after the expiry of these turn around I call them again and I was answered by a lady called Miriam. She told me that they sent a questionnaire to my Doctor for him to complete and return it to them before deciding on whether our pre authorization is approved or declined. This email was also discovered as per Miriam that it was sent to an incorrect email and another email had to be sent and another turn around time would apply, remember that the date of my wife's admission was drawing closer and closer. After the expiry of that turn around time I called them again and I spoke top Brandon who explained the very same procedure which was explained every time I call them and he claimed that the same form has not been received from my Doctor by them for finalization. Please note in all these instances I requested an update through a call back but no one ever bothers himself/herself about keeping me updated. On 22/11/2019 I called again in despair to find out what was happening and I was answered this time by a lady whom I think her surname is Gerber who tried to sort out the problem however it was too late for her to accomplice her decision. and at that stage I was driving back to our Doctor where I found out that the form my Medical aid was claiming that they did not receive was actually sent to them as proved by the delivery note and a copy that I am in possession of as I speak. Why I was made to run like a headless chicken cannot be justified to date and my wife is still suffering, the ****ers, SHAREHOLDERS of Quantum medical Aid are enjoying my R5500 which I pay monthly for them to enrich their families. Miss/Mrs Gerber is not supposed to be working there as she was the only lady who kept on calling attempting to diffuse the situation, but was too late. Well done Mrs Gerber for the service you rendered to me, much appreciated though it was late. (1) The email address in their Google address is wrong, as they said that they did not receive my email. (2) The fax number *** supp**** by them to my Doctor is wrong as Medical aid claimed they never receive a fax which was faxed to them. (3) A consultant does not have the correct/latest doctor"s email but he work with them on a daily bases - as they sent the questionnaire form to an incorrect email address. (4) I also sent this Doctors form on my own to the email address they sent to me by which is- *** is wrong as no one answers it. (5) Al, I am saying is the actually people or workers are not supposed to be dealing with a life threatening Department like this, most of them have no heart, do not value the life of other people, are rude as they think they are doing us a favour and not us doing them a favour by keeping them in the job - paying their salaries.

TO ALL THE YOUNG ONES OUT THERE PLEASE REFRAIN FROM JOINING QUANTUM MEDICAL AID they are a ****er as my wife is still in pains to date as she was not admitted and the procedure which was due to her on 26/11/2019 was cancelled due to non availability of pre authorization.
