Quality Pools - should be called Bad Quality Pools, or Pool *******!!

my husband wrote a bad review on Quality pools a few weeks back. I followed on by writing the same bad review on their facebook page.

The review from my husband was the following "Quality pools is incapable of building swimming pools. We provided them with a plan to build a pool, paid R95000 deposit to start. They built the pool incorrectly (steps wrong, heights wrong etc) (cast concrete). We asked for our money back and they refused, we asked them to fix it and they have not. DO NOT DEAL with this company and or with Mike Simpson (the owner) and or Don (the supposed foreman). Stay away, we have lost R95000 on this."

We got a response from Quality Pools today on their facebook page which was the following "Dear Ms. Croft, Thank you very much for your review. The current Quality Pools owner is in business for 24 years and is very proud of the company’s achievements and reputation. We are quite positive that any potential customer reading your review, will realise there is much more to this matter than what’s mentioned by you. It gives us great pleasure to confirm that we have completed 12 successful projects since our dealings with you. We at Quality Pools sincerely wish you luck with your project."

I would like to add onto this Hello Peter review the response from us the client "Quality pools: Well let’s just tell the readers exactly what happened. You didn’t complete the structure and design of the pool correctly. We have subsequently got an engineer, a builder and an architect in and all three say what you have built is structurally incorrect and that the pool will crack if completed as is. Upon asking you for the balance of our deposit back you refused. Upon giving you the opportunity to come and fix the mistakes and complete the pool you where a no show at our scheduled appointment. Upon asking once again for the balance of the deposit refunded we were told that you spent that 70% deposit. As per the 3 images - anyone will be able to work out that it is impossible that a little bit of wire mesh and concrete costs R95000. The images clearly indicate the lack of structure in place and incomplete concrete work. Your bad reviews on both Hello Peter and your Facebook page date back to further than 2015. And it appears that ALOT of people have complained about cracking and mentioned that your so called “20 year” guarantee is none existence and that you don’t even take their calls. So let the readers read this and make a judgement call on their own. And let’s just make a note that you tried to apply to get onto the swimming pool association and you did not meet all the requirements so you are not part of the association. Had we have known about the swimming pool association prior to committing to quality pools we would never have contacted you to begin with. We feel very sorry for the people that have used you because they will be disappointed in due time. But hopefully this review will aid future clients to not make the same mistake we did and trust quality pools."
