Qatar Airways - Refund Nightmare

Good day,

I was due to board flight Q3 1370 from Cape Town International airport to Doha on the 21st of February with my final destination being Incheon, South Korea. I possess a valid long term E-2-1 visa from South Korea; however, was told by ground staff at Cape Town International airport that that is not a valid visa on their system. I waited five hours while they made pointless calls. I provided proof and documents that I was able to enter South Korea with this visa. To make matters worse, I knew multiple people who had flown with Qatar this week from Johannesburg South Africa with this exact same visa with no issues.

I was ultimately told after standing around for five hours that I was not going to board and that they would get back to me with more information. They never did. I had to call and run after them and finally was informed that my visa was in fact valid after they finally received confirmation and that I was able to fly with them but I would have to book and pay for another ticket. I have tried every avenue and channel to get a refund as this is not my fault at all. I am so disappointed in this service and how I was treated! i will never fly with this airline again. They do not care about their customers.
