Qatar Airways is NOT a premium airline

I flew with Qatar Airways from Frankfurt to Johannesburg on the 29 December 2022 on flight QR1365 and upon landing at the OR Tambo International,I discovered that my luggage was broken into. I immediately took my bags and left the airport and report the matter to Qatar online. After submitting my claim to Qatar, it was rejected because I had not reported it to the airport authorities. The claim was rejected even after having reporting the incident on the same day to Qatar!!!Qatar Airways claims to be a premium airline but they do not understand customer service. I was a victim of crime but refuted my claim. I would never recommend the airline.

On the 27 February 2023 I was booked on Qatar Airways (by my company) from Frankfurt to Johannesburg on flight QR0070 and the flight was cancelled much to all the passengers dismay. After sitting at the boarding gate for almost two hours. We then told to all go to the ticket counter for Qatar Airways inside Frankfurt Airport and get our flights rebooked. We stood in the longest line with only one agent assisting at the Qatar counter. Please bear in mind that our flight was meant to depart the airport at 10:35 which means most of us had been at the airport from the early hours of the morning. Due to the length of the line, and there being no movement, a gentleman that works for Qatar,approached the line with a QR code that we could scan for hotel accommodation. He said that this had to be done because the line “too long” and we would be notified of our rebooked flights via the contact details that the airline had. At 19:45 CET,I received a call from Qatar that I my rebooked flight was at 22:00 CET with Lufthansa. This call came almost two hours before my rebooked flight-how unprofessional! I could have easily missed the flight due to passport control,etc!

Qatar Airways does not care for their passengers, and pride themselves on excellent customer service, I am yet to experience this.

I would never recommend Qatar Airways to anyone because of the trauma I’ve experienced due to Qatar.
