Qatar airlines refuses to acknowledge that our flight is cancelled and is leaving us without alternatives.

So Brussels airport has issued a statement saying that all flights are cancelled for 13 February due to a nation wide strike. We are suppose to be flying out of Brussels on 13 February and Qatar airlines is refusing to confirm that our flight is cancelled. They have not issued a statement or contacted passengers. How are we suppose to know what is going on. Brussels airport has stated that passengers will not be able to enter the airport. Qatar is refusing to acknowledge that our flight is affected or that the airport has cancelled it. Where is the communication to arrange different flights or refund us. My family and I are on tourist visas in the Schengen area. If we don't leave we are violating our visas and our accommodation has already booked new customers so we can't remain there either. Qatar is leaving us in a terrible situation after we paid a fortune for tickets months in advance. This is extremely unprofessional.
