Online flight booking false advertising

<p>I was looking at changing my dates for a flight in December and the online booking system let me get as far as typing in my one-time password (OTP) and processing the payment before kicking out an error message. The error message was not even specific/detailed as to what the issue was. I contacted my bank to check if there was a problem with my credit card and they said that they could see a hold on the funds by Qatar which hadn’t been released. Qatar shouldn’t be holding funds if they can’t even process the fare option. In addition to this I contacted Qatar directly and they said that they cannot honour the quoted prices on their website and that I would have to book directly through them over the phone/email at an escalated price compared to what is being advertised on their website. If a fare is no longer valid then the fare shouldn’t be advertised on their website to their customers as an option!<br /> <br />It is a time consuming process to complete a date change and I have now wasted my time multiple times trying to change the date of my flight online. </p>
