Long delays, very poor customer service

<p>I booked a return flight to Frankfurt with Qatar airways, choosing it because its layovers were much shorter than other airlines (1.5 hours both ways). I was already disappointed when I got to Doha to be told the connecting flight to Frankfurt was delayed by "at least four hours" - no reason provided. The flight eventually left four hours later than planned, but delayed passengers had not been offered any access to a lounge or refreshments.</p> <p>On the return flight, the airplane leaving Frankfurt was delayed by two hours because the airline was waiting for a part to be loaded that it needed in Qatar to repair another plane. When we got to Doha, I had missed my connecting flight, and was put on a later one. I was given a 'voucher' for a cafeteria, and went to get some water (190ml was all they had). When I asked for another, I was told that the voucher only allowed me one drink.</p> <p>The flight they put me on only left five hours later. As a result I missed a day of work, and wrote to the airline asking them for some sort of compensation. Their response was that the delay was due to reasons out of their control (a blatant lie) and they would not be compensating me. I will never fly this airline again, and would advise anyone else to stay away from it as well. </p> <p> </p>
