Frustratingly long check in queues

Their check-in at CTI was the poorest I've come across in decades. Long queues and very slow progress as most passengers seemed to have issues which needed resolving. After I complained, they said they'd open another desk but, instead, we were just ushered to join a different queue. While waiting there, we were moved back to our original queue before actually having our luggage checked in. On the flight from Geneva to Cape Town, we were unable to check in online. For some reason Qatar weren't allowing that option. On the return flight we were also blocked from booking in online. Very frustrating from what is otherwise a great airline.
