Confiscation of goods due to unqualified security

Complaint<br> Date of Incident: 29 June 2015 / 18H30<br> Subject: Removal of items from hand luggage from security <br> From: D. Wyser<br> I arrived in Doha. When i went trough the security check the officer asked me about one item in my suitcase. I told him that it is a Rifle sight, which I used to shoot in a competition in Switzerland. <br> He asked me to open the suitcase and inspected the item, there where a few other items which he confiscated and told me to wait. After a while, he told me that the items have been cancelled. I asked him to call his supervisor. His supervisor arrived after 20 Minutes and I explained to him that the items in the suitcase are valuable, but not on the exclusion list of on board flights since the items where sights and not lethal in any way. They took copies of my passport and told me that if the airline wants to transport the items then I will receive them back. I asked for their names but they refused, neither did I receive any documentation or receipt, that they took the items from me. Also they confiscated a plastic box with a blue sponge. I asked, if they could let me have it for a moment, when I got it, I opened it and showed them that there was nothing inside,
