Qantas : not kid friendly!

My wife and two daughters flew with qantas from South Africa to join me in New Zealand. We sold all our things and they packed the bare minimum...also the kids toys. They had two special LEGO sets that were packed...R1500 each. They checked in their baggage and hand luggage, but when they boarded, the Australian Qantas air hostess stopped them as the lady who checked in the baggage didn’t put labels on the hand luggage. She made them remove their toys as the bags were too heavy. My wife told her that it was weighed and checked but she didn’t believe her. My girls , 5 and 8 started crying and told my wife to leave it. She asked the hostess if the LEGO could be posted or picked up by her parents at the airport, but she insisted that it must be disposed of!

We will never use qantas again. Their departments are inconsistent in their rules and they do not put the client first.

They promised kids activity packs and play stations. There was none.
