No compassion or understanding

We are in Australia on vacation and and my wife is hospitalized for over three days with an infection. She is very sick. I contacted Qantas to move my flight out by one day so that she is well enough to travel. They quoted me AU$ 525 to change flights. I said I understand in normal circumstances but I have a medical emergency as the reason. She said, \your problem
